Snacking Trends Unwrapped: Back to Real

If snacking has felt a little complicated lately, 2026 is offering a reset.

We surveyed 1,000 U.S. consumers, 1,000 parents of young children, and 135 nutrition professionals about what they are prioritizing in 2026. The answer was not another “hack” or a hard-to-pronounce ingredient. It was a return to basics: more fruits and veggies, less added sugar, more fiber, and fewer ultra-processed choices. Real food that tastes great and delivers real nutrition.

#1 Trend: More fruits and veggies

For the third year in a row, “eat more fruits and veggies” is the goal everyone agrees on. People want snacks that feel closer to real food, with recognizable ingredients and options that are easy to keep on hand for everyday moments: the desk drawer, the car, the backpack, the lunchbox.

That’s it. makes this easy with Fruit Bars, Minis, and Crunchables.

#2 Trend: Less added sugar

One of the biggest shifts is not what people are adding. It is what they are subtracting. Added sugar is at the top of that “less please” list.

If you want an everyday rule that helps, choose snacks with naturally occurring sweetness from real food, like fruit. That’s it. snacks are built around that idea, whether you’re grabbing Fruit Bars and Minis, snacking on Crunchables, or getting a boost from Energy Bars.

#3 Trend: Fiber gets serious, and ultra-processed gets questioned

This is the breakout shift. Fiber has moved into the top tier of snack priorities, and it’s rising at the same time more people are questioning ultra-processed foods.

We know you’re reading ingredients more closely now, so it’s not surprising that you want snacks that deliver real nutrition without ingredients you would not use in your own kitchen. That’s where fiber comes in, and not just any fiber. Our survey showed the top way people want fiber is fiber from fruits and vegetables.

With 95% of Americans not getting enough fiber, all of our snacks deliver between 2–5g of fiber from fruit and are never ultra-processed. That means you can build a fiber habit through the snacks you already reach for, instead of adding a whole new routine.

If you’re just beginning your fiber from fruit journey, start with Minis or Crunchables, which deliver 2–3g of fiber from fruit. If you want to increase your fiber intake, reach for our classic Fruit Bars, which have 2–5g of fiber from fruit depending on the flavor.
